Chapter IV: Forbidden Nearly right after I smelled the Panthers, I saw a black shape running through woods next to me; and they were keeping up with my car. I looked at the speedometer, and I was going nearly ninty miles per hour. I turned away from the woods, and glared toward he road. I felt my fangs start to grow, until they were nearly two inches long, and pretruded out of my mouth when I closed it. I turned toward the opposite side of the forest, and there were about six more black shapes running along beside me. When I woke up, I was in a car. Er... well, a carriage, seeing as it was being drawn by a horse. There were two windows, but they were barred with thick iron rods. There were guards on horseback riding along beside the windows, carrying guns. I could only presume ther ewere more guards around the carriage. There was a throbbing pain in the back of my head where someone had hit me and knocked me out, and I tried to reach down and feel if the skin was broken, but my hands wouldn't move.
